TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The metropolis of Troy introduced they’re responding to a considerable water main break in Lansingburgh close to Seventh Avenue and 124th Street. Road closures have been established in the realm between 119th Street and a hundred and twenty fifth Street.
Crews from the Department of Public Utilities are on the scene assessing the scenario. Officials say the 30 inch forged iron water main was put in in 1916 and is likely one of the two main distribution strains flowing from the water therapy plant.
Flooding has been reported in the realm on account of the break. The Lansingburgh School District acknowledged that the scenario led to alternate college bus routes being applied in addition to the cancelation of all after-school actions.
