As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson reported, US Veteran, television host, author, and former National Guard officer Pete Hegseth is answering questions this morning before the US Senate Armed Services Committee.
Pete Hegseth is President Trump’s nominee for US Secretary of Defense and has battled garbage allegations from far-left Democrats along with the fake news media. He has been hit with libelous smears of sexual misconduct from anonymous ‘sources’ who only want to ruin his career and livelihood.
Democrats are expected to continue amplifying these false allegations along with other outrageous attacks on Hegseth’s character.
Loathsome Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) got the left-wing smear machine cranked up almost immediately against Hegseth. He spent his entire line of questioning smearing the war hero as unqualified, unpatriotic, and bigoted for daring to oppose the status quo and prioritizing merit over DEI.
But toward the end, Reed totally faceplanted. He seemingly attempted to humiliate Hegseth by asking what a “jagoff” was, slyly implying that is precisely what Trump’s Defense nominee was.
But Hegseth was ready and immediately left the Rhode Island Senator humiliated with his epic answer. As one will see below, Reed had no idea what hit him.

Hegseth: “I don’t think I need to… The men and women watching understand.”

REED: You have made statements to your platoon after being briefed by a JAG officer…By the way, would you explain what a jagoff is?
HEGSETH: I don’t think I need to, sir.
REED (confused): Why not?
HEGSETH: Because the men and women watching understand.
REED (still befuddled): Perhaps some of our colleagues don’t understand.
HEGSETH: It would be a JAG officer who puts his or her own priorities in front of the warfighters.
REED (still bewildered): Interesting.
A jagoff is defined as ANYONE who is a jerk, idiot, or any kind of irritating or unlikeable person. The term originated in Pittsburgh, which is also the area where Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) is from. He himself has used the term on multiple occasions.
We all know what Hegseth REALLY wanted to say out loud (Reed was the jagoff), and he did imply it. Nonetheless, he completely embarrassed Reed anyway.
