“Late Night” comic Seth Meyers on Wednesday mocked serial liar Rep. George Santos’ (R-N.Y.) swerving of reporters’ questions over new prices he faces for allegedly stealing the IDs of marketing campaign donors and utilizing their bank cards for unauthorized prices.
Santos advised journalists asking him for remark within the halls of Congress that he had “no clue” in regards to the superseding 23-count indictment “because I did not have access to my phone.”
The lawmaker stated that, although, whereas holding a cellphone.
“Nothing sums up George Santos more than claiming he didn’t have access to his phone, while talking on his phone,” stated Meyers.
“Not having access to your phone is such a lame excuse,” the comic added. “It’s a 23-count indictment not a text from your mom, maybe one of your aides could, I don’t know, come up, give you a heads up?”
