BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. Mastercard has set
a goal to enhance the digitalization of payments in Azerbaijan,
General Manager of Mastercard for Türkiye and Azerbaijan Avsar
Gurdal said during the press conference, Trend
reports.

“Our main goal is the digitalization of the economy. Mastercard
has set a goal to increase the digitalization of payments in
Azerbaijan. To achieve this goal, we strive to simplify the
issuance of cards by using digital acquisitions and digital cards,”
he explained.

To note, Mastercard is an international payment system that
provides financial services, including credit, debit, and prepaid
cards. It allows its holders to make cashless payments at millions
of points of sale around the world. Mastercard also provides
technology solutions for banks, merchants, and other financial
institutions. Mastercard cards are accepted in many countries and
are used for a variety of transactions, including in-store
purchases, online transactions, ATM cash withdrawals, and other
financial transactions.
