BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 4. Kyrgyzstan
will increase the minimum pension beginning October 1, 2024,

According to information, the resolution was signed by the head
of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov.
Furthermore, the Social Fund of Kyrgyzstan is instructed to
index from October 1, 2024, the size of insurance parts of
pensions, appointed before this date, by a coefficient of 1.18, but
not less than 1,000 soms ($11).
The basic part of pensions assigned before October 1, 2024, will
also be indexed, if the total amount of such pensions, including
supplements, is below 6,900 soms (81 USD) until this level is
reached.
These measures were taken to implement the decree of the
President of Kyrgyzstan, “On measures to index from October 1,
2024, pensions appointed under the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic ‘On
State Pension Social Insurance’, and the effective use of funds of
the republican budget,” as well as the Cabinet of Ministers
Resolution No. 534 of August 29, 2024.
