No one could have foreseen just how successful Barbie would become, and reflecting on the behind-the-scenes footage of a film that has grossed over a billion dollars, it’s easy to say, “Of course it was a hit; look at the joy radiating from everyone involved!” Yet, we still need to acknowledge it. Without a doubt, Barbie was destined for success—just observe all the fun everyone is having!

One of my favorite moments is witnessing the various Kens in the recording booth, harmonizing their parts, followed by a brief shot of Gerwig on a Zoom call, visibly astonished at the reality of being paid to create such magic. It’s simply wonderful to see!
