Ty Cobb, the previous Hogan Lovells companion who left Biglaw to work in Trump’s White House earlier than yeeting out of that job, is again. He’s on the cable information circuit bringing his distinctive perspective on all of the legaltroubles of the forty fifth president.
On the agenda throughout Cobb’s newest look on CNN with Brianna Keilar was the Georgia indictment. That specific indictment is notable not just for a plethora of co-defendants but in addition the mugshots. The superb mugshots.
Donald Trump reportedly practiced the search for his mugshot, eager to look “defiant.” Better to have people targeted on his Zoolander-esque stare than the… questionable self-reported peak and weight stats.
But Cobb’s tackle the Trump glare is that it’s a little bit of joke.
“This is the first time that a former president and his colleagues have been charged with a heinous crime like this, this is the first presidential former presidential mugshot, you know we’ve ever seen. And while he looks like a Batman villain in his mugshot, he’s still entitled to all the rights and privileges of a criminal defendant.”
