BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 10. Azerbaijan and
Türkiye have discussed issues of expanding economic partnership,
Trend reports.
According to the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, First Deputy
Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev held a meeting with Turkish Deputy
Minister of Industry and Technology Ahmet Yozgatlıgil within the
framework of his business visit to Yekaterinburg, where the
Innoprom industrial exhibition is underway on July 8-11.
Furthermore, it was emphasized at the meeting that the
partnership between Türkiye and Azerbaijan is being strengthened in
all directions. The sides discussed opportunities for further
expansion of economic relations, including mutual investments,
exchange of experience in the field of industry and technology, as
well as strengthening cooperation in other areas.
In addition, the sides noted the importance of the ongoing
initiatives in the field of industry and high technology to ensure
sustainable economic development of both countries.
The meeting also discussed the expansion of trade and economic
ties, the participation of Turkish entrepreneurs in new projects
implemented in Azerbaijan, and investments in industrial parks and
quarters.
To note, Azerbaijan’s FDI in Türkiye’s economy in the first
quarter of the current year amounted to $40 million, and Türkiye’s
FDI in Azerbaijan’s economy amounted to $261.4 million.
